Intro
Hatchersfield operates a physical electronic billboard at the University of Lagos (Mariere Hall) and runs online ad campaigns. They needed fresh, high‑impact motion graphics that worked across both channels – the horizontal billboard (16:9) aspect ratio and social media square/landscape formats. As their Visual and Motion Graphics Specialist, I redesigned their online banner ads (directly contributing to a 68% first‑month sales increase), overhauled their internal brand materials (flyers, IDs, official documents, pitch deck), and produced 10+ custom motion pieces for diverse client brands within the first three weeks.
Project Overview
Hatchersfield is a Lagos-based marketing agency with both physical and digital reach(online ad campaigns), including a high-visibility electronic billboard inside the University of Lagos campus. My role was to sharpen their visual output across motion graphics, banner ads, IDs, pitch materials, and internal brand assets so the agency could look more consistent and persuasive. I elevated their clients' assets to capture attention, drive engagement in high-traffic environments, and deliver measurable business results.

The Challenge
Hatchersfield needed to solve three problems simultaneously: visually outdated and underperforming online banner ads, inconsistent internal brand materials, and motion pieces that had to work on a horizontal billboard while still adapting cleanly to Instagram and LinkedIn. Each challenge required a different creative approach — every asset needed to feel readable fast, easy to repurpose, and strong enough to support both sales and brand credibility.

Design and Execution – Key Insight
Billboard viewers only give a design a few seconds of attention on average, so the motion had to be simple, readable, and loop-friendly — and on campus, they're often walking or driving past at low speed. I kept the pacing tight, used large typography, and high-contrast color pairings, avoiding slow fades and complex transitions so the message could be understood at a glance. I placed key text and logos in the upper two‑thirds, leaving the lower third for secondary info or branding to guide their attention. The system was then built into short, reusable motion pieces that could hold attention while still being flexible enough for social media use.

Execution – 10+ Pieces, 3 Weeks, Every Format
Within the first three weeks, I produced more than 10 motion graphics for client brands including Bomb Daily, Wag Vogue, and Fresco Hairvolution, among others. Each piece required its own pacing, typography, and color treatment. They were created by repurposing client image assets into motion graphics optimized for social media and the UNILAG billboard. This required fast iteration, efficient workflows, and the ability to maintain consistency across varying brand identities. I also built supporting assets for banner ads, pitch decks, IDs, flyers, and reusable templates so future campaigns could be produced faster and with more consistency across the agency’s work.
Beyond the motion pieces, I also delivered:
A full Hatchersfield brand system overhaul including ID cards, official documents, pricing templates, and pitch decks.
A reusable template system for future client motions, IDs, and pitch decks — with pre‑built background layers, logo placeholders, and text animations that cut production time by over 40%.
A compilation showreel used by Hatchersfield during advertiser and sponsor presentations.
Internal promotional campaigns, animated banner ads and a Valentine's Day campaign for Hatchersfield's own social channels.

Outcome
The results were immediate and measurable. Hatchersfield reported a 68% increase in online banner sales within the first month, and the pitch materials I designed helped open meetings with larger brands including Oraimo and Nestlé.
The agency now works with a cleaner visual system, stronger motion assets, and reusable templates that support faster delivery and more professional brand presentation.
